Thrive From Home

We have all wished we could have more time at home and more time with our family but now it’s happened, we aren’t so sure that’s what we wanted…

Freedom is an important aspect of our lives, we get to go where we want, get what we want, do what we want. However we have taken it for granted and now much of that freedom has been removed, it has left many people feeling a sense of loss.

We all know that current restrictions are for our own health and most people follow the restrictions willingly but there is that sense of feeling out of control. We wanted that time at home with our families and now we have it but it doesn’t feel like we got what we wanted so we feel out of control.

Many of us have gone into this lockdown simply hoping that we survive the coming months. That we manage to home school our children at least some of the time, that we have food in the house and that we manage to keep our jobs. These are big things. Things that sadly not everyone will manage.

I want more than that, call me greedy, but I want to use this time as an opportunity to reset. To re-evaluate what’s important in my life and what has simply become a habit. I want this to be an opportunity to re-connect with people that I normally only offer a passing thought to. I want to feel in control. I want to know that when I hopefully come out the other side that I will be a better version of who I am today.

I want to Thrive not just Survive.
